Let is snow, let it snow, let is snow!!!
We are having a beautiful winter storm. It is light and fluffy and REALLY pretty on our street. I had to take some pictures of Craig shoveling at the house. I was shoveling too, mostly wiping off the cars though. It is not too cold, but REALLY snowy. I think I wiped the cars down 5 or 6 times. I couldn't keep up with all the snowfall. We have about a 7 or 8 inches I think, check out the roof. On a side note I have had the entire week off from school. No power in Nelson from that ice storm and the outlook for Monday does not look too promising. We will see. I just want to see the kiddos before Christmas. From what I hear people are stealing each other's generators and we HAD one at Nelson on Thursday but the town was not happy with that and they took it away. So nuts!!! Anyway, that is all for now. Just waned to share some pretty New Hampshire snow with all of you. Have a great weekend!!

What a weekend it has been! It really all began on Thursday morning when I had to scrape ice off my car. I was pretty upset that we were having school because I HATE to drive in snowy conditions, let alone ice. It wasn't too bad though. We had freezing rain in Nelson all day, but back in Keene it wasn't so bad. So, you can imagine my surprise when I got the phone call about no school. I guess Nelson had power lines and trees down all over the place. No one had power. So, it was our first official SNOW DAY of the year. I have a feeling there are many more to come! So.. I went to the grocery store and ran into one of my student's parents. He said Nelson was like a winter wonderland. Everything is coated in ice, thick ice at that. He said he would be surprised it power was to return on Monday. On Friday night Craig and I had a "Date Night". The plan was to get a bite at Elm City Brew Pub and then head over to Keene Cinemas to see the new Bond movie. Instead one of Craig's friends invited us down to McCue's for happy hour. We decided to go and have a beer or two and ended up asking Jenn and Tim to come along to dinner. AND because they were coming we thought we would call Eric and Kelsey to join us too. It was fun! When dinner was through we were contemplating following through with our plan to see Bond or to head back to our place for a few games. We decided that we would head home and play Cranium with the crew. Craig and I won. It helped that we rolled two purples in a row. : ) Yahoo!! On Saturday we headed down to Glastonbury, CT to partake in Dan Roach's holiday party. During the party we decided to head over to the museum to see the festival of trees. It is pretty cool. I will try to post the pictures soon. You can see a few of the trees below us in this picture. We were standing on the second floor and looking down. Back at Craig's dad's house we took part in a recycle yankee swap. Craig's dad was the second to go and he opened up a home bath spa with the Bradlee's tag still on it!! It was pretty funny. I eneded up with a Jordashe wallet and Craig had a foot spa. Sadly, his foot spa was swapped and he took home a cheese serving set. It was a good time. Sunday I was pretty sick. I had been up most of the night coughing. Yuck! But, I was able to pull myself together to see Steve and to meet his friend Sarah. Craig wanted to take them to the Chelsea Royal Diner in Brattleboro. So, Craig had the skillet breakfast and I had french toast. I also had a call from school saying that school was cancelled for Monday. Nelson still had no power!!! I rested for the remainder of the night, shopped online for Christmas presents, and went to bed around 12:30. Today, woke up around 10 and I am finally ready to shower and go shopping. I am still not 100%, but I do feel better. What a crazy week/weekend!!! Hope you are well. Love you and happy holidays!!!
