Sweet Summer Time

After returning from California, my summer has been a little uneventful. Although I am in the middle of making phone calls for the fund raiser and making sure things are squared away, and tutoring three days a week, I find that I am bummed that the summer is soon coming to an end. Remember the days of swimming all day everyday, coming home to yummy lunches that the babysitter made, going mini-golfing or to the movies during the week? The days of riding your bikes to the cree-mee with your friends, or just making up silly games in the backyard. I miss those days. I miss my friends. It is certainly hard to grow up sometimes! Anyway, some exciting news - Craig and I will be moving out of our apartment (5 years I was there!) and we are going into a little one bedroom ranch house in Keene on September 1st. We are renting, and it is tiny, but I am excited to have my own front door and my own yard! Yippee. Maybe now I won't be so hesitant to have people over to eat or just hang out. We won't have much more space, but at least it will be our own. So, I am on the lookout for a good deal on washers and dryers, a new couch, and a better kitchen table. If you see anything in the area, let me know! That is all for now. I am off to the scrapbook store to buy more stickers. : ) I think Craig and I might have a mini-golf tourney tonight. Three courses in one night. Winner takes all. Not sure what ALL is yet, but I will let you know! : ) Love you guys!

COAST TO COAST

Summer has been a blast so far. I had an amazing time in California with Abbe and Evan. When I have more time I will post pictures and go into detail about what we did. For now, here are five highlights for me.
#1 Driving around LA looking for celebs and celeb hot spots - WOW
#2 Wine tasting in Napa Valley - SUPER FUN
#3 Universal Studios - ALL DAY WAS AMAZING, especially the studio tour
#4 Dodgers Game - I saw NOMAR! : ) He didn't play, but he was so close to me
#5 Seeing the movie premiere - well we drove by 3 times, of STEP BROTHER
What a great trip. Abbe is the best!

When I returned to New Hampshire, I didn't even unpack. I just took a shower, went to bed, and woke up early to go to Craig's family lake house in Holden, Maine. It is WAY up there. Right next to Bangor. His family has a house on Holden Pond. It was beautiful there. Here are my five highlights from our Maine trip
#1 - Pictures on top of Cadillac Mountain - SO PRETTY
#2 - Kayaking on the lake and getting a ticket from the fish and game warden. We were not wearing life preservers. Oops. It was like getting a speeding ticket!
#3 - Beer tasting at the Sea Dog - Yummy
#4 - Napping in the hammock with Craig - AWW
#5 - Going to see the Dark Knight with the townies of Maine - What an experience!

Now I am home and planning the fund raiser. www.2nd5kandplay.page.tl I am scrambling for donations and trying to convince people to come participate. I ordered the t-shirts, got my volunteers, found a dj, got the vb nets and balls. So far, so good.
I started to tutor this week and continue on for the next few weeks. Looks like lots of rain coming my way and that is just no fun. BUT - I can stay indoors and scrapbook pics of my beautiful nephew Aidan, the Cali trip, the Maine trip, or Aruba. Which one first. That is all for now! Happy summer. Love ya!!
